"Education is not an affair of 'telling' and being told, but an active and constructive process."

-John Dewey, Educational Reformer

About Katie

Hello! As a classroom teacher and tutor for almost over years, I am looking forward to supporting you and your child. I am interested in helping your child reach their fullest potential in a one-on-one or small group setting.

I believe that skills and content are best learned through guided experience, and I hope to bring a balance of experiential and explicit strategies to supporting your child's growth. This may look like building number sense through hands on manipulatives or learning letter sounds through tactile, visual, and auditory clues.
